I never thought I would be calling out a whole country, but this is too much, I have never seen anything like this before. I just finished watching the national treasure that is Stacey Dooley’s documentary on the crime capital of the world for women, Honduras. The stats are astonishing:
865 bodies in 4 months…These poor poor women in Honduras. #staceydooley

Abandoned at 2 by her family, moved in with her boyfriend at 11, she's just had a baby at 13 with the 18 year old boyfriend. #StaceyDooley

So the punishment for abortion is much more severe than rape or attempted murder. Just, wow. #StaceyDooley #WorldsWorstPlaceToBeAWoman

In this deeply Catholic nation, it is a criminal offence to use birth control or have an abortion yet there is a rape culture of minors that is highly prevalent.
There are so many pregnant children who have been raped, amazingly they would face jail time if they had an abortion!!
Beyond this women are regularly hacked to pieces by jealous men.
I have NEVER been so ashamed to be a man.
90 percent of the sex offenders do not see any jail time due to the almost non-existent legal system.
Stacey Dooley who is only 28 is already a seasoned journalist who has seen some horrors in her career, but even she could not hold back the tears in this episode of STACEY DOOLEY INVESTIGATES
This needs to get International attention and the Government of Honduras have to make some big changes.
