Ok, I just watched the Australia day video, and it is beautiful. Australia looks one big endless summer of a country, but something didn’t sit well with me at all afterward. Blink and you will miss the Aboriginal representation in this video, at most its about 5 seconds of footage. It just makes me sad that the culture and heritage of the indigenous people of Australia is not celebrated as it should be.
Maybe I am being a bit sensitive, have a look at the video and let me know what you think?
Now history teaches teaches us that Australia Day itself is a day of mourning for many of the indigenous people of this great nation, but it doesn’t mean that they should barely be represented in a video that is supposed to show the world what a modern inclusive nation Australia is.
