“Quilt Fever” Takes You Inside A Whole New World
Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of quilting. Some of the best documentaries give us a deep dive into a subject that we know nothing about — allowing us to find the fascinating nooks and crannies that we might not immediately appreciate from the outside. And “Quilt Fever” is a perfect example of that.
“Scratching that itch of pure curiosity, we get to discover a whole microcosmos of quilting — from the celebrities to the dedicated tv channel, nervous rookies to quilting legends,” Vimeo explains. “There is a genuine feel to the film that truly spreads good vibes and makes it a very pleasant watch. Witnessing those women sharing their stories, their excitement over their passion, while showing us the different techniques of their craft, is very charming without entering cheesiness territory.”
The subjects are compelling, endearing, and, quite frankly, the perfect type of feel-good escapism we could all use in these difficult times. It’s time to take a trip to QuiltWeek in Paducah, Kentucky— also known as Quilt City, USA.
