“A Quiet Place: Part II” Is Due To Hit Theatres March 18

With the original proving to be a total surprise hit, “A Quiet Place: Part II” has been highly anticipated — and the trailer that has just dropped shows that it’s worth waiting for. The amazing team is back with a few small adjustments. John Krasinski will be taking to the director’s seat again, though not starring in the film. His wife Emily Blunt will appear alongside Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy.

This promises not to be a sequel in the traditional sense — instead, it seems to be more about expanding the universe that was so painstakingly created in the original.

“Usually in sequels it’s a hero or a villain that you bring back and you have to build a world around that character because you’re bringing back a character,” Krasinski told CNN. “But you don’t have a world. We have the world.”

Many people weren’t sure how Krasinski would fare as a director, especially in a genre with such dedicated fans — but the original exceeded any and all expectations to be a crossover hit. “Part II” is poised to live up to expectations, so mark your calendars for March 18.
