Al Pacino And Jordan Peele Come Together For “Hunters”

Screen legend Al Pacino. Oscar-winning writer-director Jordan Peele. Nazi hunting. There’s a lot happening in the trailer for Amazon Prime’s new acquisition, “Hunters”, which debuted this week — and it has people talking.

Set in 1977, Deadline reports that the series is inspired by real events — and it feels incredibly relevant in the current, divided, political climate on both sides of the Atlantic.

“The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the US,” the description explains. “The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.”

The team that’s come together for this project is truly prodigious — and it’s clear that they were desperate to be involved.

“When David Weil first shared The Hunt with me, I immediately knew that we had to be involved,” Peele told Deadline. “It’s cathartic. It’s noir. It’s frighteningly relevant. It’s exactly what I want to see on television. I am thrilled to be working with Amazon in bringing this incredible vision to the world.”

You will be able to catch this new 10-episode series hitting your small screen in 2020.
