Redbull is always coming up with new and exciting ways to push through limits and create new adventures. This time, they’ve decided to tackle an unusual combination: a snowy mountain and a Formula 1 race car. “Snowy winters and mountains might usually be domain to the skiers, but every year Redbull Racing aims to run a Formula 1 car through the snow,” the video explains. “This time, F1’s youngest racer, Max Verstappen, blasts up the mountain.” He competes under the Dutch flag for Red Bull and, even as a younger driver, he’s making a huge name for himself in the sport. This little stunt is just another demonstration of his total mastery.

Now, like a lot of dangerous feats, it doesn’t come off easy. The tires that they try to use at first don’t have enough traction to make it through the snow. But don’t worry— the plan B not only worked, but it worked with style. The replacement tires don’t look like anything I’ve ever seen on a Formula 1 car, but they do the job. And they need to. Because it’s not just the snow that is challenging, it’s the steep slopes, the rise and fall that these cars just aren’t used to. Luckily, though he may be young, Verstappen is in total control. He’s got a steely determination and his excitement to take on this challenge leads to an amazing result. You can check out the whole video here:

If you’re skating, skiing, and sledding this winter, that’s all well and good. But this just takes things to a whole other level. And as far as winter travel goes, it’s a hell of a lot cooler than a sleigh ride. Red Bull delivers another video full of adventure and extremes— check out their channel on Youtube if you want to see even more. Just remember: don’t try any of them at home.
