The Holi festival of color is famous all over the world, for good reason. The explosions of color and joyful exuberance of the celebration have made it a fascinating destination — whether to go and participate in person or to watch on film. This video, capturing some stunning images in slow motion, not only lets us experience the Holi festival in a whole new way, it encourages viewers to take more time on life’s little details.

“The world is fascinating,” the video explains. “People and cultures inspire us. Sadly, the fast paced lifestyles of our generation result in many not taking the necessary step back to soak in the existing world around us. Our goal with this film is to help viewers further appreciate and take notice of the beauty in life & culture that lies within our world.”

It’s so satisfying to see filmmakers not just tackling beautiful subjects, but encouraging others to do the same. As the description explains: “…so the next time you notice something that strikes you as interesting, stop for a second, start powering on your camera, think about why it’s unique, and snap the shot before you miss it. Life is extraordinary. Embrace it.”
